The bats were loud early, and they never cooled off.
Benbrook’s Lady Bobcats returned to district play and quickly took control against Eastern Hills, rolling to another decisive win after a strong start at the plate.
Madison Canada led the charge, turning in a standout performance with multiple inside-the-park home runs. The offense set the tone right away, putting up 14 runs in the first inning and building a lead that never gave Eastern Hills a chance to settle in.
In the circle, Natalya Muzquiz kept that momentum going, allowing just one hit over two innings while striking out four. Alexis Phillips added a clean inning in relief as Benbrook stayed in control from start to finish.
The game was called after three innings, with the Lady Bobcats adding runs in each frame to close it out.
Benbrook now sits at 10-0 in district play and 16-11 overall, holding the top spot in the standings. The team returns home to face Iowa Park at 4:30 PM, looking to keep the run going.
