Lady Bobcats Soccer Extend Streak as Playoffs Approach.

The Benbrook Lady Bobcats soccer team continues to put together one of the most dominant seasons the program has seen in years.

Earlier this week, the Lady Bobcats traveled to face Carter Riverside and extended their winning streak to 13 games with a decisive 8-0 victory. The win also kept Benbrook perfect in district play at 13-0.

Benbrook has controlled most matches this season, outscoring opponents by an average of more than nine goals during the streak. Tuesday night followed a familiar pattern as the Lady Bobcats’ offense kept the pressure on while the defense steadily wore down Carter Riverside.

Senior Sydney Chavez led the charge with four goals and two assists. She was joined on the scoreboard by Lily Chavez, Randee Slater, Jessica Anzaldua, and Lily Carias, who each added a goal. Assists on the night came from Lily Chavez, Slater, Anzaldua, Kira Cleveland, and Fiona Chan.

With the win, Benbrook improves to 18-3-1 overall and remains in first place in the district. The team has already secured a postseason spot and now turns its focus to the final home game of the regular season.

Friday night marks Senior Night as the Lady Bobcats host the Dunbar Lady Wildcats. The evening will celebrate the program’s Class of 2026 seniors who have helped shape the team’s success on and off the field.

This year’s seniors include Judy Jimenez, Fiona Chan, Jessica Anzaldua, Sydney Chavez, Samantha Cloria, Arianna Labue, Lily Carias, Victoria Arriaga, Kira Cleveland, and Randee Slater.

Junior varsity will kick off the evening at 4:30 p.m. Senior recognition begins prior to the 6:00 p.m. game, followed by the varsity match.
