Lady Bobcats Golf in the Mix After Day 1 at Regionals.

BENBROOK, TX — The Benbrook Lady Bobcats are right where they need to be heading into the final day.

After Day 1 of the UIL Region 1-4A tournament in Lubbock, Benbrook sits tied for third place with a team score of 329. With only the top three teams advancing to the state tournament, the margin is tight, and everything will come down to the final round.

Senior Avery Glanzer led the way with a 74 (+2), putting her in third place individually and firmly in contention among the region’s top golfers.

Behind her, Campbell Glanzer (SO) carded a 78 (+6), followed by Jessica Anzaldua (SR) at 84 (+12), Madison Willson (FR) with a 93 (+21), and Bay Bradshaw (SO) at 110 (+38).

The leaderboard remains close across the board, with only a few strokes separating teams. That kind of setup leaves little room for error and puts the focus on consistency from the first tee to the final putt.

Follow along live tomorrow on the Tx HS Golf app, and all eyes will be on how the Lady Bobcats finish.
