It has been a month since the Benbrook Lady Bobcats flag football team opened its season, and Monday night showed how much ground they have covered.
Back at Bobcat Stadium, the Lady Bobcats hosted the Diamond-Hill Jarvis Lady Eagles in a game that started tight and ended with the Lady Bobcats in control.
The first half was all defense. Both teams struggled to find the end zone, with scoring chances wiped out by penalties, and neither could settle into a rhythm.

The Lady Bobcats’ defense set the tone early and never let up. Judith Jimenez and Olivia Bogan applied steady pressure up front, disrupting plays before they could develop.

Behind them, Lily Carias, Camila Rivera, and Victoria Arriaga locked down the secondary, each coming away with an interception and limiting any serious threats.
The shift came after halftime when Quarterback Arie Caldwell sparked the offense, mixing runs with timely throws.

Caldwell connected with Libby Wilkinson and Lainey Owens for touchdowns, while extra point receptions to Emily Hassler and Lainey Owens helped build separation.

Rivera added to the ground attack, giving the Lady Bobcats balance on both sides of the ball. By the final whistle, the Lady Bobcats had turned a scoreless first half into a 14-0 win.
It was the kind of performance that showed growth, patience, and the ability to adjust. With another game set for next Monday, the Lady Bobcats look like a team starting to find its stride at the right time.
