The flags were snapping, and putts refused to hold their line, but the Benbrook Lady Bobcats did not flinch.
After a record-setting Day 1, on Day 2 of the Burleson Centennial Southern Hidden Two Step Tournament, windy conditions tested every swing at Southern Oaks Golf and Tennis Club.
When it was over, Benbrook walked away with a second-place team finish with a 713 overall finish (+79) and two players at the very top of the individual leaderboard. Burleson Centennial narrowly edged Benbrook with a team score of 711.
Individually, senior Avery Glanzer claimed first place with a 150 overall (+9), sophomore Campbell Glanzer finished second at 160 (+9), and senior Jessica Anzaldua tied for eighth with a 186 (+23).

Avery’s steady two-day performance secured medalist honors, while Campbell’s strong showing locked up the runner-up spot. Together, they set the tone for a team that continues to raise its standard.
In tough conditions where patience mattered as much as power, the Lady Bobcats proved again that they belong near the top. And if this tournament is any indication, they are only getting started.
