A familiar stop for many Benbrook residents will stay dark for at least one more day. JD’s Hamburgers in Westland, just west of Benbrook, remains closed as crews continue working to repair burst pipes caused by the recent winter weather.
Just after 4 pm, Gigi from JD’s shared an update on social media, explaining that the damage had not yet been fully repaired. The team is hopeful the work will be completed late Wednesday night, which could allow the restaurant to reopen in time for lunch on Thursday, January 29.
For now, the plan is wait and see. JD’s has encouraged customers to keep an eye on their social channels for the latest updates. Information will be shared at https://www.facebook.com/jdshamburgers and https://www.instagram.com/jdshamburgers/.
For many in Benbrook, JD’s is more than a burger joint. It is part of the local routine. Fingers crossed the grills are back on soon.
