I-20/I-30Roadwork Update: April 4–11 Closures and Detours.

If your commute runs along I-20 or I-30, expect a few extra slowdowns in the days ahead.

According to the latest Keep 20-30 Moving update, multiple construction projects will result in lane reductions and overnight closures across key stretches near Benbrook, including from Markum Ranch Road to Walsh Ranch Parkway and east toward Loop 820.

Drivers will continue to see shoulder closures and reduced lanes along I-20, with traffic narrowed to two lanes in some areas. Overnight work is scheduled April 6 through April 10, with single-lane closures in both directions between FM 1187 and the I-20/I-30 interchange for pavement striping.

One of the more notable impacts comes from April 9 to April 10, when the westbound I-20 entrance ramp from FM 1187 will be closed for drainage work. Traffic will be redirected to the next entrance at Ranch House Road.

For those traveling through the area, the advice is simple. Plan ahead, allow extra time, and stay alert as crews continue work along one of the region’s busiest corridors.
