Benbrook City Council Place 6 candidate Whitney Hughes spent a busy Saturday out in the community, starting with the 34th Annual Benbrook Trash Bash alongside Pack 95.
After helping with the community cleanup, Hughes attended a meet-and-greet with Greg Clem, who is running for Benbrook City Council Place 4. Clem is challenging incumbent Dustin Phillips in the Nov. 3 election.
The two candidates are also campaigning together under the One Benbrook banner, with Clem seeking Place 4 and Hughes seeking Place 6, challenging incumbent Laura Mackey.
For Hughes, the day offered a mix of community service and time connecting with residents around the City of Benbrook.
