Helping Teen Parents in College Across DFW One Life at a Time.

College is tough. Now imagine doing it with a baby on your hip, bills stacking up, and very little support.

That’s the reality for many young parents in the Dallas-Fort Worth area who are trying to earn a degree. Generation Hope, a nonprofit working with teen parents in college, is stepping in to change that. But they need backup.

Currently, 19 teenage mothers and fathers across the metroplex are seeking mentors. These students aren’t just enrolled, they’re pushing hard toward graduation in a world where less than 2 percent of teen mothers finish college by 30. The odds are stacked, but they aren’t giving up, and neither is Generation Hope.

The organization connects each student-parent with a dedicated mentor who offers both emotional encouragement and, if possible, financial support through a scholarship. It’s a one-on-one relationship that matters. Mentors walk alongside these young adults as they juggle classes, parenting, and everything in between.

You don’t need to be wealthy or have a perfect résumé. Generation Hope welcomes those who can relate to the journey, especially former teen parents or student parents themselves. And if funding a scholarship is out of reach, limited spots are available for mentors who can still offer support and guidance.

If you’re in Benbrook or the broader DFW area and want to be part of someone’s comeback story, now’s a good time to raise your hand.
