If lunch plans this week involve barbecue, Heim Barbecue & Catering just made the decision a little easier.
The Heim Pig Stand is on the move again and will be serving from its new temporary location at 308 South Main Street in Fort Worth from tomorrow through May 1.
The popular mobile spot will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., or until sold out, which regulars know can happen quickly.
For $13, guests can grab a chopped beef or pulled pork sandwich with a choice of side, including potato salad, coleslaw, or banana pudding. Bacon burnt ends are available for $8 for a quarter pound, and drinks are $2.
It is the kind of simple lunch setup that works well for a quick downtown break, especially for anyone who believes barbecue should never be overcomplicated.
Heim called it a “quick update,” but for barbecue fans, a Pig Stand location change is usually worth paying attention to.
So if you spot the turquoise truck parked on South Main this week, that is probably your sign to skip the usual lunch routine and follow the smoke instead.
