On Tuesday, August 12, from 8 to 11 AM, the Tarrant Regional Auto Crimes Task Force is offering free vehicle VIN etching at the Fort Worth Police Department’s South Division, located at 3501 W Risinger Rd.
Here’s how it works. Your car’s unique Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) gets etched into the glass windows, making it harder for thieves to profit off stolen vehicles or send them to a chop shop. A warning sticker is also applied, adding one more reason for crooks to skip your ride altogether.
It’s quick, free, and could make a real difference. You might even qualify for a discount on your theft insurance just by getting it done.
No appointment necessary, just roll in and protect your vehicle.
