Families across Fort Worth spent part of Thursday afternoon anxiously checking phones and waiting for updates after several Fort Worth ISD campuses received threatening emails tied to a possible bomb threat.
In an initial message sent around 1:40 p.m., the district confirmed that multiple campuses had received concerning emails and said district safety personnel and law enforcement were actively reviewing the situation. Officials noted there was no confirmed threat at the time but emphasized that all safety protocols were being followed.
Just under an hour later, at 2:34 p.m., Fort Worth ISD sent a second update confirming that law enforcement had completed its review and cleared all campuses involved.
According to the district, the affected campuses included Paschal High School, Overton Park Elementary School, Boulevard Heights, and McLean 6th Grade. Families at those campuses received direct communication during the investigation.
District officials also stated that similar threatening messages had reportedly been sent to other schools, businesses, and organizations across the area.
While the situation ultimately proved non-credible, the incident served as another reminder of how quickly school safety concerns can ripple through families and communities. Fort Worth ISD thanked law enforcement, campus staff, students, and parents for their cooperation as the investigation unfolded.
