Benbrook residents might spot a few familiar landscapes on screen soon.
The upcoming series Landman, filmed right here in Benbrook and Fort Worth, is getting some well-earned recognition — not for the storyline or star power, but for simply choosing to film in Texas.
The ATX TV Festival in Austin announced that Landman will receive its first-ever “Texas Made” award. This new honor highlights productions that don’t just tell a Texas story, but actively support the state’s creative economy. With Billy Bob Thornton and Jacob Lofland in the cast and co-creator Christian Wallace on board, the show is already turning heads before it even airs.
The award presentation is set for June 1, followed by a behind-the-scenes conversation with the cast and crew. It’s a reminder that keeping film and TV work in Texas matters — for jobs, local businesses, and the stories we get to tell.
