Family Turns Little Free Library into Little Free Pantry to Help Neighbors in Need.

As families across North Texas brace for the uncertainty of a federal government shutdown and the financial strain of the holiday season, one Benbrook resident is stepping up in a big way.

Sean Moore, who is running for Benbrook City Council, and his wife Emily have temporarily transformed the Little Free Library at 3912 Springbranch Drive into a Little Free Pantry—a place where neighbors can take what they need and leave what they can. The idea is simple but powerful: small acts of generosity can ripple through an entire community.

Moore hopes others will follow suit, turning small neighborhood fixtures into sources of comfort and care during challenging times. Along with the pantry, he shared a list of local and national programs offering everything from meals and toys to diapers and pet food for families in need:

Other sharing shelves can be found at the Benbrook YMCA and Benbrook Public Library, both of which continue the spirit of giving right here at home.

Moore’s message is simple: in a season that can stretch families thin, kindness and community make all the difference.
