Crash Closes Westbound 183 Near Bryant Irvin.

Just before 8 p.m. Sunday, flashing lights lined westbound Southwest Boulevard near Bryant Irvin Road as Benbrook and Fort Worth emergency crews responded to a major crash.

Benbrook Fire and Police, along with Fort Worth Fire and Police, temporarily blocked westbound lanes on 183 while they worked the scene. CareFlite was placed on standby but later canceled, indicating that injuries, while serious enough to warrant a large response, were not believed to be life-threatening.

Drivers in the area reported heavy emergency traffic and a white Honda involved in the crash. Some mentioned possible fire activity. Residents nearby said they heard a steady stream of sirens coming from multiple directions.

The intersection at Bryant Irvin and 183 has long been a concern for locals who say red lights are often ignored. Sunday nightโ€™s crash renewed those worries.

The incident marked the second reported accident in Benbrook that day. Earlier in Pyramid Acres, a student driver was reportedly struck after a stop sign was missing. One vehicle was hit broadside, and another flipped. Injuries were reported in that crash as well.

This remains a developing story. Updates will be shared as they become available.
