The uniform may have changed Saturday in San Antonio, but the result felt familiar for soccer fans in attendance.
Wearing No. 6 for Region 1 at the 2026 TASCO Senior All-Star Showcase, Lady Bobcats standout Sydney Chavez once again found the back of the net and helped lead her team to victory against some of the top senior soccer players in Texas.

The annual TASCO All-Star Game, held May 9 at Blossom Athletic Center, celebrates elite graduating seniors from across the state while also supporting scholarships, coaching education, and assistance programs connected to Texas high school soccer.
Region 1 defeated Region 3-1 in the girls showcase match, with Chavez contributing one of the goals in the win.
For those who followed her career at Benbrook, the moment felt like a fitting final chapter. Chavez built a reputation as a relentless competitor and consistent playmaker throughout her time with the Lady Bobcats, and Saturday’s performance was another reminder of the work that carried her there.
Now, the Benbrook senior prepares for her next chapter as a collegiate student-athlete at the University of the Ozarks, where she will continue her soccer career after graduation.
For one more night on one of Texas’s biggest senior stages, Sydney Chavez did what she has done for years: show up, compete, score, and help her team win.
