Fresh off an emotional shootout win over district leader Eastern Hills, the Benbrook Bobcats returned home Tuesday night looking to keep that momentum alive against Young Men’s Leadership Academy.
They did just that.
Finding their rhythm early, the Bobcats controlled the pace and limited YMLA’s scoring chances, securing a 2-0 shutout on their home field. The defense stayed organized, the midfield dictated play, and the offense capitalized when it mattered.
With the win, Benbrook moves to 8-8 overall and 3-2 in district play, currently sitting fourth as the race tightens.
There is little time to celebrate. The Bobcats hit the road Friday to face Carter-Riverside in another key district matchup.
