The Benbrook Bobcats boys’ soccer team wrapped up a busy, competitive weekend at the FWISD Soccer Showcase with a solid 2-1 showing that highlighted both depth and grit.
Benbrook opened the weekend by taking down Kennedale 4-2, followed by a dominant 4-0 shutout of Azle that showed just how locked in the Bobcats were on both ends of the field.
Their only setback came against Timberview in a tight 1-0 match that could have gone either way.
Across the three games, the Bobcats spread the scoring around and leaned on strong team play, with several players stepping up as goal scorers and playmakers.
Playing on their home field gave the Bobcats a clear edge, and the steady support from students, teachers, and fans all weekend helped turn the showcase into a true home-field advantage.
Overall, it was a productive showcase for Benbrook soccer, building momentum and confidence.
The Bobcats now sit at 4-5 on the season and will look to carry that energy into a non-district matchup against the Polytechnic Parrots tomorrow night at 8 pm at Farrington Field.
