The Benbrook Bobcats Boys Soccer delivered a statement win Friday at the FWISD Soccer Showcase, blanking the Azle Hornets Boys Soccer 4-0 in tournament play.
Benbrook wasted no time setting the tone, scoring three times in the first half and staying in control the rest of the way. A second-half goal sealed the clean sheet and capped a performance that flipped the script from their previous meeting, when Azle handed the Bobcats a 3-0 loss.
The win levels Benbrook at 4-4 on the season and keeps them perfect at 2-0 in the tournament. The Bobcats stay home next, hosting Mansfield Timberview on Saturday at 2:40 pm at the Benbrook Middle High School soccer field.
