Benbrook neighbors might enjoy this local cameo.
A massive TCU mural in downtown Fort Worth made a quiet appearance on the TV series Landman during the January 4, 2026, episode.
The artwork appears around the 35-minute mark, showing the character Tommy Norris, played by Billy Bob Thornton, exiting the Frost Tower. It is subtle, but once you see it, you cannot unsee it.
The mural was designed by Trevor Scott, a 2022 graduate of Texas Christian University’s Department of Design in the College of Fine Arts. Measuring 96 by 90 feet, it covers the southeast corner of the Sundance Square Garage 4 at 5th and Throckmorton Streets.

Painted in 2023, the mural celebrates TCU’s 150th anniversary and its long-standing relationship with the city.
The monochromatic purple design weaves together familiar TCU icons, such as SuperFrog and Frog Fountain, with Fort Worth landmarks, including Bass Performance Hall, the West 7th Street bridge, and the downtown skyline.
The mural is expected to remain in place through 2028, giving locals and visitors plenty of time to spot it in person. It’s another reminder that Fort Worth stories and local talent often show up in places you least expect, even on the small screen.
