Wednesday night at Benbrook Par 3 Golf Course had a little bit of everything. Competition, surprises, and a few moments that had people laughing long after the final putt.
Mike walked away with the biggest prize of the night, taking home a $1,234 chipping pot after showing up week after week. In the team standings, scores came in at 5-under, 3-under, and 2-under, with Owen and Ethan celebrating a third-place finish.
The night also brought a few lighthearted twists. A drawn scorecard earned one team a free entry into next week’s scramble, while another contest challenged players to chip as close as possible to the railroad ties, which turned into one of the more entertaining moments of the evening.
One side bet added to the fun. Mia and Emily, who do not regularly play, were given two strokes per hole and ended up winning, collecting $5 each, while their opponents took the loss in stride.
