Benbrook residents saw their rain gauges put to good use this past weekend as storms rolled across the area, dropping a solid soaking of water in nearly every corner of the city.
Depending on your exact location, totals ranged from just over 2 inches to more than 5.
Warden Street topped the chart with a reported 5.25 inches, while other neighborhoods, such as Chapin Road, Winscott, and Westpark, came in close behind with 4 inches. Richardson Ranch saw just under 3 inches, and Pearl Ranch Road checked in at a flat 3. Across the map, most readings ranged from 2 to 4 inches.
The steady rainfall was a welcome sight for lawns and gardens, though it also served as a reminder to stay weather-aware as the summer storm pattern continues.
