Benbrook Senior Center Kicks Off 2026 With a Full January of Fun and Fellowship.

The new year is off to a strong start at the Benbrook Senior Citizens Center, where January’s calendar is packed with games, wellness activities, and special events to keep seniors active and connected.

Located at 911 Winscott Road, the center offers a familiar weekly rhythm many residents love. Most mornings begin with favorites like Hand and Foot, Bridge, Canasta, Dominoes, and the ever-popular game 42.

Chair Yoga is also woven throughout the month, giving participants a chance to stay flexible and move at their own pace. Mexican Train rounds out many afternoons with friendly competition and laughs.

January also brings special moments beyond the regular schedule. Seniors will ring in the new year with themed activities, enjoy a breakfast outing at Cracker Barrel, take part in New Year’s rock painting, and celebrate birthdays with bingo hosted by a senior healthcare advisor.

A Friday night bingo event with dinner provided by Winscott Funeral Home adds an evening option, while a field trip to Dixie House Cafe and Rock Distribution closes out the month.

The center will be closed on January 1 for New Year’s Day and January 19 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. On January 9, the center will close early at 11:30 am due to a scheduled evening event.

The Benbrook Senior Citizens Center is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 am to 2 pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am to 3:30 pm. For questions or details on specific activities, residents can call 817-249-6093.

With cards on the tables, friends in the room, and something new always around the corner, January is shaping up to be a warm and welcoming start to 2026 for Benbrook seniors.
