Benbrook neighbors are organizing ahead of a critical City Council vote on rezoning Rowan Ranch for 178 homes, much of it in the floodplain along Mary’s Creek.
A planning meeting is scheduled for Saturday, August 16, at 5:00 PM at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 4513 Williams Road, to coordinate strategies and speaking points for the council session on Wednesday, August 21, at 7:00 PM at Benbrook City Hall, 911 Winscott Road.
Residents are encouraged to bring neighbors, their passion, and non-perishable food items to support the Benbrook Library’s Little Free Pantry. Community members can also sign and share the petition opposing the rezoning at Change.org.
This is a chance for the community to make its voice heard and protect Mary’s Creek from development in vulnerable areas.
