If you’re thinking about stepping into city leadership, the filing period to run for Benbrook’s City Council starts July 19 and runs through August 18, 2025.
Seats open include those for Mayor and council members at places 1, 3, 5, and 7. Candidate packets are available for pickup at Benbrook City Hall, located on Winscott Road, or online at Benbrook-tx.gov.
To get on the ballot, applications must be submitted to the City Secretary’s Office by 5 p.m. on August 18.

Keep in mind, elections for the Benbrook Library District Board and the Water Authority Board are handled separately, so you’ll want to reach out to those organizations directly for their election details.
