Benbrook Police Take Softball Rematch, 8-5.

The rivalry is friendly, but bragging rights still count.

Benbrook police and firefighters returned to the softball field for a rematch after last year’s game nearly ended in a shutout. This time, the Benbrook Fire Department kept things much closer, but the Benbrook Police Department held on for an 8-5 win and another year of bragging rights.

The game brought the two departments together for some friendly competition while giving the community another reason to gather at the ballfields.

The Benbrook Youth Baseball and Softball Association organized and hosted the rematch, adding another community event to its Opening Night festivities.

For the Fire Department, there is always next year.
