Benbrook Middle-High Track Nears Completion, Public Access Still Unclear.

For years, Benbrook residents have enjoyed lacing up their sneakers and jogging the track at Benbrook Middle-High School.

However, after a summer of construction and the addition of new gates, many are wondering if the track remains open to the public.

The good news is that the renovation is nearly complete, and the school’s athletes have already started using the new surface. The less clear part: whether the public will be allowed back once the final equipment and supplies are cleared.

Some neighbors have spotted signs noting that the track is closed to the public, while others point out that the nearby Dutch Branch Park, across the street, offers a walking and running track as an alternative.

Until an official announcement is made, it appears that community access remains on hold. Residents hoping for updates can check with Benbrook Middle-High School or Fort Worth ISD at fwisd.org.
