Benbrook Firefighters Train for Ladder Rescues.

The moment someone needs to be brought down from a roof or other elevated spot is not the time to figure out what comes next.

That is why Benbrook firefighters were back on the ladders recently, with the department’s B-shift working through rescue training designed to keep those skills sharp.

Photos shared by the Benbrook Fire Department show crews setting ladders, practicing positioning and working together through rescue scenarios.

Most residents will never see this kind of training, but firefighters may have to rely on it without hesitation when a real call comes in.

For B-shift, the goal was straightforward: get the reps in now, so they are ready when it matters most.
