Benbrook residents made their voices heard at the polls this week, with several tightly contested City Council races and one clear mayoral outcome, according to the unofficial election results from Tarrant County.

Jason Ward secured the role of Mayor, Place 1, running unopposed and earning all 2,073 votes cast.

The Place 5 seat saw a competitive matchup between Cameron Potter and Sean Moore. Moore appears to be winning at the time of this writing with 53.98% of the vote (1,154 votes) compared to Potterโ€™s 46.02% (984 votes).

Perhaps the most nail-biting contest came in Place 7, where Keith Tiner is narrowly edging out Derrick Varnell, slightly ahead by just 20 votes at the time of this writing. Tiner has received 50.47% (1,082 votes) to Varnellโ€™s 49.53% (1,062 votes).
