The performances may happen under the Friday night lights, but much of what keeps the Benbrook Band moving happens long before the first note is played.
Following another smooth weekend of marching season, the Benbrook Band Boosters are thanking the parents, volunteers, and directors whose time and work often happen behind the scenes.
Parents have served meals, donated snacks and supplies, loaded equipment, driven the trailer, supported fundraisers, and helped cover expenses throughout the season. Booster board members and volunteers have also worked to make each football game and competition a memorable experience for students.
The Boosters also recognized Mr. Bryant, Dr. Garcia, and Mr. Reinhart for their leadership and thanked band families for the early mornings and late nights that come with marching season.
Most of all, they celebrated the students themselves, noting their hard work, kindness toward one another, and the progress showing on the field.
Marching band may be what everyone sees, but it takes many hands to get it there.
