Sunday at Dutch Branch Park felt a little different this week.
Under clear skies and steady sunshine, members of the Benbrook Church of Christ stepped outside their usual setting and into the open air for a time of worship followed by a community cookout. It was simple and unhurried. People gathered, sang, prayed, and then stayed to share a meal.
The turnout was strong, with families and friends spreading out across the park, kids moving between tables and open space while conversations carried on well past the final song. It was the kind of gathering that needed little explanation. Just people showing up, being present, and enjoying the moment together.
