Major Delays on I-30 After Multi-Car Pileup Near Chapel Creek.

If you were headed east on I-30 this afternoon, you likely ran into the gridlock.

Just after 4 p.m., a multi-car accident involving at least three vehicles caused a major slowdown on the eastbound lanes near the Chapel Creek entrance ramp in Fort Worth, just outside Benbrook.

Emergency crews, including EMS, fire, and police, responded quickly, but the backup stretched well past Spur 580, reaching as far back as the antique shops and bar strip. A second accident was also reported on the same entrance ramp, compounding the chaos.

Westbound traffic felt the ripple effects, too, though construction in the area didn’t help either.
