What used to be a quiet, run-down Valero gas station at the corner of US HWY 377 S and Sproles is now buzzing with activity.
Heavy equipment has arrived, clearing underground tanks and removing old pumps to make room for something new. By late July or early August, that corner will serve up caffeine instead of fuel, as 7 Brew Coffee prepares to open its doors.
For Benbrook residents, it’s a welcome change of scenery and a promising sign of fresh business investment. But while another coffee spot is nice, many locals are still hoping for more sit-down restaurants that serve real meals, not just snacks and sips. With numerous fast-food options lining the highway, the demand for comfort food and family-friendly dining is on the rise.
Still, progress is progress. And this new brew stop might be the beginning of a bigger shift along this stretch of town.
