Benbrook residents are hungry for change—literally. This week the city’s social media channels lit up with calls for the Benbrook Area Chamber of Commerce to help bring a new wave of restaurants and grocery options to town.
Frustrated by a dining scene dominated by fast-food chains, locals are craving something fresh, even with Jake’s Burgers, and Tacos and Avocados coming soon.
Suggestions ranged from Dutch Bros Coffee and Salad and Go to grocery favorites like H-E-B, Trader Joe’s, or Central Market—places that could spice up the local food landscape and give Walmart some competition.
The thread also revealed a few tasty tidbits, like news that Baked Pizzeria’s owner is actively scouting for a Benbrook location, aiming to carve out space in the city’s already competitive pizza game.
While no official word has come from the Chamber or the Economic Development Committee, it’s clear Benbrook is ready to serve up something new.
Whether community voices can turn dreams into development remains to be seen—but the appetite is definitely there.
