Heads up, Benbrook: starting June 1, 2025, the city will officially retire its CodeRED/Reverse 911 system and switch to the free Know NOW app for emergency alerts.
This new app keeps you in the loop on weather warnings, local emergencies, and public safety updates no matter where you are. Whether you’re at home or out of town, you’ll still get real-time alerts right on your phone. You can also choose to track updates for loved ones in the area.
The app is available now and takes just a minute to set up. All you need is a username, password, and a phone number or email. Be sure to select the “Benbrook” group once you’re in.
