BENBROOK, TX — The competition was fierce and the payouts even sweeter at this past Wednesday’s Scramble at Benbrook’s Park 3 Golf Course.
Local golfer Joe walked away with a cool $2,600 after sinking a clutch chip shot to claim the chipping pot—photo proof shows that ball resting perfectly in the cup.
The rest of the leaderboard brought the heat too, with teams finishing at -4, -3, and -1. A nail-biting playoff decided third place, but even the bottom of the pack had some fun with what’s affectionately known as “the losers’ game”—a nerve-wracking chip over the railroad ties that tested everyone’s short game under pressure.
