A mom looking for a wedding reception venue for her daughter had a pretty specific wish list: somewhere around Fort Worth, room for about 50 people, catering, and an available date in November.
That last one may be the hard part.
She asked for recommendations, and neighbors gave her plenty. We took a closer look at several of the suggestions, including what people are saying in Google reviews, to narrow down which ones might actually fit a smaller reception.
The Copper Wall in West Fort Worth looks especially promising. It seats around 64, which puts a 50-person reception right in its sweet spot. Reviews frequently mention the intimate setting, helpful owner, and easy parking. Tables and chairs are included, and outside catering is allowed.
Blue Mesa Grill could simplify planning. Its private event space has hosted larger local gatherings, including a Benbrook Bobcats football banquet. Having food and event space in one place could also mean fewer vendors to coordinate.
Hidden Gardens Venue gets strong marks for its setting and staff. One reviewer specifically mentioned choosing it for an intimate wedding of about 70 because larger venues felt too big. That same quality could work well with 50 guests.
If Aledo works, Stillwater Meadow is worth a call. Reviews regularly praise the property, staff, and communication, although November is part of its peak season.
Lost Oak Winery in Burleson adds a vineyard setting to the mix, with reviewers praising the staff and flexibility. The obvious tradeoff is the drive.
Neighbors also suggested The Barn at Whiskey Flats, The 4 Eleven, Lazy S Hacienda, Red Door Ranch, The Woman’s Club of Fort Worth, Station 330, Benbrook Stables and Diamond A Ranch Events.
With November this close, though, I’d start making calls now. The perfect place might simply come down to who still has the date.
