Drivers heading through southwest Fort Worth and Benbrook may want to find another way around FM 2871.
Just after 5 pm today, emergency crews responded to a serious head-on crash involving two trucks near FM 2871 and the railroad tracks near Aledo Road, according to CrimeRadar.app and reports from people in the area.
Both northbound and southbound lanes of FM 2871 were reported closed as police, fire, and medical personnel responded to the scene. Nearby residents also reported seeing multiple police vehicles, an ambulance, and a fire truck.
The closure is affecting drivers attempting to enter or leave nearby neighborhoods. Motorists should avoid FM 2871 in the area and use an alternate route until authorities reopen the roadway.
