September is shaping up to be a busy month at Canopy Homes at Ventana, with food, community events and a little friendly competition on the calendar.
The month begins Saturday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. to noon with fresh omelets made by Bill at the front office, along with mimosas and other drinks.
On Saturday, Sept. 19, Canopy heads to Dutch Branch Park for Benbrook’s 18th Annual Heritage Fest, running from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The free festival includes live music, food, games, pony rides, mini golf and a petting zoo.
Dinner gets easier Thursday, Sept. 24, when Miss George’s Grilled Cheese food truck stops by the front office from 5 to 7 p.m.
The month closes Sept. 30 with Canopy’s Pet of the Month contest. Residents can submit their pet’s best photo for a chance to be the next winner.
