No school or work Monday means a little more time to get some swings in.
D-BAT Benbrook will be open Labor Day, giving local baseball and softball players a place to hit the cages, throw a bullpen or squeeze in some extra training before fall ball gets underway.
Players can use the day off to work on hitting, pitching and defense, with team rentals also available.
For local athletes, it’s one more chance to trade a day off for a day in the cage.
