Texas Wesleyan Begins Move to NCAA Division II.

A new chapter is beginning for Texas Wesleyan University athletics, and a few familiar Benbrook-area athletes are along for the ride.

Texas Wesleyan has received an invitation to join the Lone Star Conference, beginning the university’s transition to NCAA Division II competition.

The move marks a significant step for the Rams and the athletic program they have been building, with the university calling it the beginning of “a championship future.”

It also gives local fans another reason to follow what happens next. Former Benbrook Bobcats and Western Hills Cougars who now compete as Rams will have the opportunity to be part of Texas Wesleyan’s transition into NCAA athletics.

From Benbrook and Western Hills to the next level at Texas Wesleyan, we wish our local Rams continued success as a new era begins.
