If you hear a few unexpected booms today, there’s likely no cause for concern.
NAS JRB Fort Worth has announced that its Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team will be conducting training exercises on base between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. As part of the scheduled activities, residents in and around the area may hear loud noises throughout the day.
The exercises are part of routine military training designed to keep personnel prepared and mission-ready.
Base officials advise the public that the sounds are expected and associated with the planned training operations.
For nearby residents, today’s noise is simply the sound of training in progress.
