Benbrook Names New Official Newspaper for Public Notices.

A change approved by the Benbrook City Council this week is expected to lower costs while keeping public information easily accessible to residents.

During its last night’s meeting, the council adopted Resolution No. 2026-04, officially designating the Commercial Recorder as the City of Benbrook’s newspaper of record. City officials said the move will reduce expenses associated with publishing public hearing notices while maintaining transparency and public access to important legal announcements.

Residents can continue to view public hearing notices and other required legal postings at no cost through the City’s website, the Commercial Recorder newspaper, or the Commercial Recorder’s online publication system.

To access notices online, visit Commercial Recorder, create a free account, and navigate to the Published Legals section. Future City of Benbrook notices will be listed under “Outlying Cities.” Users can search “City of Benbrook” to quickly locate published notices.

While most residents may never need to read a legal notice, the information they contain plays an important role in keeping the public informed about decisions that shape the community.

For questions about accessing notices, residents may contact the Commercial Recorder at 817-926-5351.
