Benbrook Library Offering Sensory Support for Families This Summer.

Summer crowds, busy schedules, and packed community spaces can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially for children and adults with sensory sensitivities. That’s why Benbrook Public Library is reminding families that support tools are available right at the front desk.

The library is a Kulture City certified sensory-inclusive location and offers free sensory bags for in-house use during visits and events throughout the summer.

Each bag includes noise-canceling headphones, fidget toys, communication cards, and sunglasses designed to help guests feel more comfortable and supported while using the library.

Library staff says families only need to ask at the information desk to check one out during their visit.

As summer programming ramps up with storytimes, activities, and community events, resources like these can make a meaningful difference for families seeking welcoming, accessible public spaces close to home.

Residents can view upcoming events and activities on the Benbrook Public Library events calendar. Benbrook Public Library can also be reached by email at or by phone at 817-249-6632.
