Westpark PTA Honors Wright for Years of Service to Students.

The school year may be winding down, but there was still plenty to celebrate at Westpark Elementary PTA’s final PTA meeting of the year.

Families, volunteers, and staff gathered for an end-of-year celebration recognizing the work, support, and community built throughout the school year. Alongside the celebration, one special recognition stood out.

Lynda Wright was presented with the Honorary Texas Life Membership Award, one of the highest honors awarded by Texas PTA for outstanding service to children and youth.

According to Westpark PTA, Wright was selected because of her lasting impact on students and families at the school through years of encouragement, volunteer support, event involvement, and advocacy for children.

PTA members shared that Wright consistently showed up wherever help was needed, whether recruiting volunteers, assisting at campus events, or serving as a trusted voice for students and families across the Westpark community.

For many schools, strong campuses are built not only by teachers and administrators, but also by people quietly serving behind the scenes year after year. At Westpark, organizers say Wright has been one of those people.
