Rain clouds may have hovered over Benbrook on May 6, but they did little to slow down the appreciation being shown for the people who help keep the city running every day.
The Benbrook Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its Public Service Picnic this week, bringing together City of Benbrook employees, local businesses, and community supporters for an afternoon centered on gratitude and connection.
Despite the weather, the event drew a strong turnout filled with conversation, encouragement, and recognition for the public workers who often serve behind the scenes. From maintaining city services to helping residents day in and day out, the picnic highlighted the role those employees play in Benbrook’s everyday life.
The Chamber also recognized several local partners who helped make the event possible, including David Ballew State Farm, Pinnacle Bank Texas, and Farmers Insurance – Irvin Insurance Agency.
Chamber leaders said the event was ultimately about one simple message: Benbrook’s public workers are seen, valued, and appreciated for the work they do every single day.
