FWISD Summer Program Returns May 26 for Students.

For many families, summer brings the same question every year: how do we keep students active, learning, and connected once school is out?

Fort Worth ISD is offering one answer with its After School and Summer Program, returning May 26 through June 25 after wrapping up the regular school-year session on May 15.

The summer program runs Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and is designed to give students more than just a place to spend the day. It creates a structured environment where learning and fun go hand in hand.

Students will receive breakfast and lunch, transportation, field trips, games, physical activity, and support to get a head start on TSI requirements. The goal is simple: keep students engaged, supported, and moving forward during the summer months.

For parents balancing work schedules and students who benefit from routine, programs like this can make a real difference. It is a chance for kids to stay connected, build confidence, and head into the next school year stronger than they left the last one.

Sometimes summer learning looks less like a classroom and more like a field trip, a team activity, or simply having the right people around you.
