BENBROOK, TX — Two of Benbrook’s most visited playgrounds are set to close soon as the city begins planned construction work.
According to an update shared by the City of Benbrook late this afternoon, both Castle Park and Robot Park playgrounds will close starting June 1, 2026. The closures are part of upcoming improvements, though specific project details have not yet been outlined.
For families who frequent the area, there is still some good news. Dutch Branch Park and its pavilions will remain open during construction, giving residents another option for outdoor time while work is underway.
City officials encourage residents with questions to reach out directly. You can contact Bennett Howell at bhowell@benbrook-tx.gov.
For now, the message is simple. Plan ahead, expect some changes, and look forward to what is coming next for two well-loved spaces in the community.
