Early Surge Powers Lady Bobcats Softball in District Win.

A quick reset can change everything.

After a tough loss last Friday, the Benbrook Lady Bobcats returned to district play with a clear response in mind. On the road at Carter Riverside, they wasted no time showing it.

The Lady Bobcats opened the game with a 14-run first inning, taking control early and never looking back. The offense stayed aggressive in the second, adding six more runs to build a commanding lead.

Natalya Muzquiz led the way on both sides of the field. At the plate, she contributed to the early surge, and in the circle, she kept Carter Riverside in check, striking out eight across three innings. The Lady Eagles managed four runs, but the outcome was never in doubt.

The Lady Bobcats stayed disciplined throughout, drawing 13 walks and putting constant pressure on the bases with 10 stolen bases. Multiple players contributed hits and runs, reflecting a full team effort.

The 20-4 win moves Benbrook to 3-0 in district play, holding firm in first place while getting back on track overall.

Next up, the Lady Bobcats return home Tuesday to face Dunbar, with momentum back on their side and district play in full focus.
