Benbrook EDC Elects 2026 Officers, Reports Strong Year-End Financial Position.

The Benbrook Economic Development Corporation began the new year by handling routine business and setting its leadership for 2026.

The board met on January 20 at Benbrook City Hall, where members approved the December meeting minutes and elected officers for the year ahead. Kent Williams will serve as president. Thomas Casey was selected as vice president, and Dr. Danyelle Ackall was elected secretary.

No citizens spoke during the public forum portion of the meeting.

The board also reviewed its financial position as of December 31, 2025. The corporation reported total liquid assets of about $7.8 million. Year-end revenues totaled just over 218,000 dollars, including nearly 198,543 dollars in sales tax revenue.

Encumbered funds, including current and pending projects, totaled just over $1 million. After accounting for operating expenses, the corporation reported a fund balance of approximately 6.7 million dollars at the close of the year.

The meeting adjourned shortly after 6:30 p.m.
